Bees Update
This morning Mark checked on the bees and I watched and snapped photos...close-up if possible and from a safe distance when they got a little too curious with me, which was only twice and then they left me alone.
Mark noted they were noticeably less irritable than before he put in the new queens and the second package and that's a great thing.
Now we're off to mow the lawn and work on the bamboo. I have been neglecting my yard work with all the travel and it's showing. I have two flowerbeds calling for mulch before the hard heat of a Texas summer hits. I heard on the forecast that there may be two days of 100F degree weather this week. YIKES! I'm glad I will be in SC. :)

Woh ! it is a little bit crowded over there. Is the honey harvest encouraging ?
It sure will be when they are ready to share with us.
"Louis" saw your comment at "Ramsey Daily Photo" about the lack of lighthouses in Sequin. "Louis" knows where Sequin is in Texas and he would be one of the most surprised vaches in the world if even ONE lighthouse were in Sequin! :-)
Fascinating, Thien. I know a honeymaker in Germany whose wife is allergic to bee stings. She takes bee pollen every day which keeps her safe if bitten.
This is amazing! I have never seen the process of beekeeping up close!
