Cranking up the grill
Since Mark is home more now, we are back to doing some things we really enjoy...like grilling! He makes great ribs and the barbeque chicken is pretty yummy. We put in the Crepe Myrtle you see in the picture a few years ago and we've been amazed how fast it has grown! I love the arching branches of this particular white myrtle (don't know the official name) and the way it partly shields the grill. I wanted to provide a bit of shade since the summer sun is so strong here. And yes, it has been warm enough for lots of grilling.
That looks yummy! I love crepe myrtle trees! My parents had purple, white and dark pink trees at their old house. You are lucky!
ReplyDeletePretty soon we will be grilling every weekend, even if its just hot dogs and burgers.
ReplyDeleteYum! We love grilling, too. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks you guys. And Jim, everything tastes better grilled!
ReplyDeleteOh, genuine Texas barbeque! I've heard the legends, but never tasted it myself. Looks great. Could you please pass a chicken leg my way?
ReplyDeleteBlather From Brooklyn
Sure, Annulla! Or you can swing by TX for some. :)
ReplyDeleteI love have a BBQ party and get everyone in the family to gather around the pit! However in the heat of Malaysia, one gets a lot of sweat doing it! But it's surely a fun way for a family gathering!
ReplyDeleteWe plan to do it during Mother's Day!
