We go to Second Baptist Church in Seguin and on the first Sunday, there is communion. The deacons of the church help the Pastor with it and here we have the deaconesses, members and wives of the deacons. I love to see them in their white. Currently I am trying to find out the significance of the white covering they have on their heads. Someone asked me about it but I didn't know either.

Wonderful shot! In the Principles of Public Prayer set out in I Corinthians 11:1-16 of the King James Version of the Bible, women are to cover their heads when praying in public to show honor to the head (God). In the Southern Baptist Churches a lot of the women wear the head veils and a lot of them wear hats to Church, not for fashion (though some of the hats are spectacular) but because of this principle.
I'll guess that white symbolizes purity and innocence in the love of Christ.
So let me know if I am right.

Lovely shot. I remember in the 60's women and girls had to wear lacy veils, white or black, during mass. That changed, possibly after Vatican II. Back then men sat on the right half of the church, women left.
