Pumpkins Galore

picture 049

Across from our home is the gigantic United Methodist Church and every year, they have their huge pumpkin patch set up for the entire month of October. I love looking at all the different shapes and sizes of pumpkins. Haven't had a chance to really inspect them up close yet but I will.

Last year I took the kids of a friend, set of triplets, to check out the patch. We had a blast. I was exhausted. Here are some shots of the fun you can when selecting pumpkins with young, energetic kids. Pumpkin Shopping.

What a smart idea. I assume the church raises money this way. It serves as fund raiser, public market and installation art. Wow.

Enjoyed the triplet photos. I love this time of year with Fall colors and pumpkins.

I'm impressed by sharpness and vivid colors of your photos. What camera are you using--any other relevant info (I'm shopping around).

Please e-mail lisjardine@msn.com with reply if you can. I somewhere have a blogspot blog, but I've only made a single entry a couple of months ago.

Those pumpkins look quite large, as well as there being a large number of them. I think one would have to make lots of pumpkin soup to be able to make good use of them. Baked pumpkin is even better! Yum.

Hi Azureglobe, how about pumpkin bread and pumpkin pie.

I'm not trying to be morbid or funny or any other negative, but I remeber my Mom having a pic of this church burning when I was a kid. Once again, not trying to offend anyone, its just that this pic brought back that memory.
