The Aumont

Picture 081

Per a request from an anonymous visitor, here is a shot of the Aumont Hotel. There is now a dance hall in there along with some office space and apartments. I think it would be neat to live there and to be near the center of town. We see more and more activities all the time downtown and the area is looking very nice.

The one story adjacent space is now a pool hall. Haven't checked it out yet but want to. It's immediate previous life was spent as a tattoo parlor. That didn't last long however.

I really like to travel around the globe via these blogs and Texas is one state I'd really like to visit someday.

Thanks for sharing.

So many cities are renovating their downtown areas. Its good healthy progress. I love the looks of this old building.

AWSOME! thank you, thank you, thank you! When I was little my Dad took me to an arcade located in the basement area of the Aumont. It was neat cause at the entrance there was an option to take the stairs or a slide to the bottom... No kidding. Its good to see that its still there. Thanks Thien. Keep it up. Oh and I don't mean to be annonymous, I just don't have a blog name. Maybe I should get one.

Hello anonymous. If you don't have a blogger account, but would still like to leave some name besides anonymous, select the Other option and you can put in whatever name you like. That's what I used to do before I caved and got a blogger account.

Great pic Thiên.
