My son and I went grocery shopping together at our local HEB, which is nice b/c it's my chance to "teach" him how to plan and buy for a week instead of shopping whenever you get hungry. He likes spicy foods and wanted to try some of these habanera peppers. It was hot, but not as hot as we thought it would be. It did, however, make his eyes sting when he touch them many hours later!

On a hot day like today I had to smile at your photo--so appropriate. The color and numbers of chilis are wonderful for your photo!
I think I might steal this photo for my kitchen Thiên. Great shot! Looks like it came out of some fabu food mag.
oh yummy!
Thank you Kate. Yes, it is blazing hot here.
Go for it Shorty. Let me know and I will print it for you. Found a great place for high quality prints.
Thanks for visiting Edwin!
YUM!! Pica peppers!
These habanero peppers are from the Capsicum family which also includes bell peppers and jalapeños. Capsicum can also assist with common colds, and is often an ingredient in topical pain reliever creams. Because I am a food dork and read a whole book on hot peppers (Hot Peppers: The Story of Cajuns and Capsicum by Richard Schweid).
Hot! :) just by looking at your pic
Hot picture:))
I really like this picture, the colour and saturation are really great, nice close crop makes the difference!
