Christmas Lights on the Square

Christmas lights going up on the square in Seguin

Here's another sight I saw downtown that was an unexpected but wonderful surprise. City employees were busy putting lights in the trees. The lighting event will be on November 29! I love tree lights. It becomes really magical. The event also includes a night parade and is usually a lot of fun.

It is getting to be that time of year. The cold, rainy weather has spoiled our outdoor festival that kicks off the holiday season.

Yes, it does help to have the appropriately chilly weather for the Thanksgiving/Christmas season. Thanks, Dan.

You know I've lived in SA my whole life and I don't think I've ever seen the lights being put up. I kind of think of it as little helpers working furiously during the night so that come morning everything is up like magic. It was wonderfully chilly for Thanksgiving wasn't it? We actually had to turn on the heater a few days.
