Juan Seguin and the Water Drops

Fountain in Central Park, Seguin.

Yesterday I was downtown and walked around Central Park to take some pictures. I'll be posting them this coming week since I saw several things I found interesting and want to share here. What I like most about this shot is the way the water drops look. They look frozen but then I look at it again and they look animated. Also, I like how it appears as if Juan Seguin is doing battle with the water.

You have done a great job of capturing the movement while freezing the action. The bright blue sky and greenish reflections really add to the photo.

:) Saw your comment on Zsolt's blog about snow. You know, the 2.5 years we've spent in Texas they did have snow. Amazing what a little snow had stirred up.

Yes, the Central Park photo is fun. Fountains are magical. :)

What a super photo. Love the effect of the water with the sculpture.

I love love love this shot, especially because of the water droplets. Jess was talking about it today and how much she liked it too. Tash will probably be visiting your site sometime soon.

I like the way the water is frozen. How is it done, may I ask? Is it with a slow or fast shutter speed? Was tripod used?
