St. Andrew's

This is St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, a block from the town square. Seguin has many beautiful little churches so I may feature more of them in the days to come. I love the bells and the front.

Very pretty church. Is it limestone?

Probably Texas white limestone according to my husband.

Yes, its limestone. This church was founded August 25, 1853, but the actual building that stands now was completed in 1876. This beautiful church was designed by Stephen White, who also worked on the Capitol of Texas.
