Mistletoe

Mistletoe

One of the first things I noticed when I moved to Texas was the abundance of mistletoe EVERYWHERE and this is year-round. In the past, I only encountered mistletoe during the Christmas season and usually in a boutique or at the tree stands. I recall having to hunt down some mistletoe once to have some for decorations for a party. And here? I can just walk around (or even stop along the road on the way to work) and snip off whatever I want. It's pretty neat. I also snapped a shot of a batch with berries this past weekend. Okay, off to bake more brownies. Have a good week everyone. Only six more days of waiting!!!

Wow, I can't imagine just seeing mistletoe at the side of the road! Though, I guess it's got to grow somewhere!

Yes, this stuff is all over. I used to take advantage of it when my daughters were younger and steal kisses from them. Now that they are older however, kissing dad isn't cool so the magical weed doesn't seem to work for me anymore.

Hey, I love how you get the popup that says "mistletoe" when you hover over the pic. How did you do that?

I had no idea about the mistletoe.

We have a bush in our yard if you want to call it a bush. It grows very slow.

Interesting, no mistletoe around here in Pa. Nice Texas shot with the cattle & all.

Thanks for your recent comments on Country Captures. It was nice to hear from you again.

Yes, they have an abundance of mistletoe in Hungary too and I felt the same way you do :) Happy brownie baking and Merry Christmas.
