St. James Church

St. James Church, originally uploaded by tgretchen.

This is a church I love to drive by but the great thing is, you can actually see the steeple from many different angles around the area! It's lovely to see the beautiful copper among the treetops.

Update: The school was founded in 1872 and holds the distinction of having the “oldest building in the State of Texas continuously operated as a school.”

It is beautiful! I wonder how it looks at night. How old is it?

Very beautiful church. Is the roof of the steeple made of copper? Wow!

Your photos make me nostalgic (I lived in Texas for a few years).

The church looks lovely. I like the earthy tone colour!
